How do I assess providers?

The assessment feature empowers you to assess providers in an easy, accurate, and efficient manner. It allows you to select the best provider with more confidence, increased transparency and compliance, with less bias.

You can assess providers based on criteria such as approach and methodology, experience and expertise, cultural fit, and value for money. You can also add customized criteria for each project. You can then allocate a weight to each criterion to determine an overall score.

Standard criteria:

Globality provides a standard set of criteria that are common across all projects.  By utilizing a standard set of criteria, users can perform a more standardized comparison of assessments across different projects.  Furthermore, the standard criteria allow Glo, Globality’s AI-bot, to learn and provide better analysis and more valuable recommendations of providers based on your ratings.

To add custom criteria:

In addition to the standard set of criteria, you can add your own custom criteria for each project by clicking on the ‘+’ icon at the bottom.

To allocate weights to criteria:

You specify the weight allocation for each assessment criterion when creating your Smart Brief and you can modify the weightings at any time. All the weights entered for all the criteria must add up to 100%. These weights will only be visible to your team and will not be shared with providers.

To assess a provider:

1. Once a provider submits a proposal, you can submit your assessment. Navigate to the provider’s overview by clicking on the “Providers” link in the project navigation panel. After selecting the provider that you want to assess, click the “Assess Provider” button at the bottom of the page.

2. You will be able to assess the provider on all the criteria that was defined in the brief, or just the criteria you are qualified to rate. To maintain the integrity of the assessments, you will not be able to view other team members’ assessments until you have submitted your own. Assessments are solely accessible by you and your team members and will not be shown to providers.

3. After all project team members submit their assessments, navigate to the provider’s overview and click on the “Assessment” section to review the average overall weighted score, an average score per criteria, individual criterion scores, and comments for the provider.

4. You can also review the assessment scores for each provider in the comparison dashboard by clicking the “Providers” link in the project navigation panel, clicking “Compare Providers,” and selecting the “Assessment” tab at the top. In this side-by-side comparison, each provider will have an average overall weighted score and an average score per criteria.

How is overall score calculated?

The overall score is calculated by using ratings provided by all team members for all criteria, accounting for the weighting on each criterion. All weighted criteria must have at least one rating to generate an overall score. Here’s an example:
